Election BlogIt isn’t until you put your name forward that you realise the scale of the task required when standing for the House of Keys General Election.

The pressures, the nerves, the costs, not to mention the physical work, tasks and decisions that need to be made – and all of this outside a normal 9 to 5 (8.30 to 17.30 in my case) job and my other role as an Onchan Commissioner.

Therefore, I am going to try and write a weekly Blog of this incredible journey over the next three months. I am hoping in time to reflect back on this incredible opportunity, but more importantly give Onchan Constituents an insight into an election campaign from start to finish.

I am also hoping that the information might prove helpful to future MHK Candidates before they make that difficult decision whether to stand in the future.
